Claw of the Black Drake

claw of the black drake can be a hunter weapon. Hunters get bonuses from using fist weapons AND this baby gives us crit power.

Isn't it ironic that people claim "hunter weapon" on this site?

its absolutely ridicioulus that hunters pick this weapon, it has ZERO agility and just 1% CRIT. Compare with Brutality Blade, 9 AGI, 1% CRIT. This weapon should go to a Combat rogue or a fury warrior. None other the less!

no rogues wanted it - I can now raptor strike crit plate for 500 in pvp.

Weapon is too slow for a fury warrior, can only heroic strike on next weapon hit, hence needing quick weapons.

All our rogues didn't want it because they all spam backstab and need daggers.

If all your rogues are daggers... Good luck on those trash mob pulls right after Firemaw.

Just a bit of education: There are essentially two types of raiding rogues. Daggers and Combat. Each is better at a particular type of mob; daggers do (a bit) higher damage against bosses but their aggro is much more "spikey" making it harder to control (yellow damage generating more hate than white, and backstab has a very wide damage range). Combat is much smoother for generating aggro (has a much higher % of it's damage as white instead of yellow as it is with daggers), and does higher damage against anything that doesn't just stand there while you stab it over and over.

This weapon isn't he end-all be-all for combat rogues, any more than it is for hunters. For both classes there are better alternatives available. However, considering the competition rogues already have with warriors over swords and such and the ease at which better hunter weapons can be obtained, this probably needs defaulted to them.

Note that most of the time, most rogues won't want them (daggers being the more popular build because of PvP), so it shouldn't be an issue for hunters really, 90+% of the time you'll get it anyway when all the rogues pass. Just be considerate and check the builds of your rogues.

And yes, rogues get fist weapon specs too.

/agree 100% with what is said on prev post

At the moment, fist weapons are bugged for rogues so their +5% to hit talent doesn't work with them, and you need to take that talent in a combat raid damage build for DW spec. It's annoying, but a reason why a rogue may not bid on it as they'll waste 5 talent points worth of talents when using it.

Your a moron. You fail to recognize that his other weapon is a dawns edge.... a weapon with NO stats that im sure was part of a set of 2 before he got that. No one spends dkp on that piece of shit might as well go to a hunter.
